About Us
Find out about our mission, our board, executive team, and our partners…

Who are we?
We are a small community-based supported housing charity, working closely with housing and support partners across Calderdale.
Our primary purpose is to support women and their dependent children who are escaping the trauma of domestic abuse and the associated complexities and crisis of becoming homeless and in need of help.
Our tenants benefit from supported housing services to gain and maintain their tenancy with us and can access domestic abuse support, counselling, complex needs support, and a range of well-being groups and activities delivered by our partners.
Our Board and Executive Team
Our Board
Our charity is governed by a Board who are responsible for setting our overall strategy, controlling risk and ensuring that we deliver effective services.
Each Board member brings a wealth of experience and different skills to the organisation. You can find out more about our Board members below…

Maggie retired in 2018 after a fulfilling career in biochemistry. One of her standout projects was working on artemisinin, an important treatment for malaria, particularly in the developing world. She teamed up with colleagues from various fields—including industry, local government, and academia—to create the BioVale Innovation Cluster, which is all about fostering a sustainable bioeconomy in Yorkshire and the Humber. Aside from her professional work, Maggie has also been actively involved in public appointments, driven by her passion for housing and sustainability.
